Continuing our ever so popular SSO Education Series Concerts the Sun Symphony Orchestra explores the exoticism of the East with a program including the Aladdin Suite by Danish composer Carl Nielsen and also featuring the đàn bầu played by Nguyễn Cao Vũ who will perform “Đối thoại” by Vietnamese composer Đỗ Hồng Quân.

Nguyen Cao Vu was born on September 18, 1998 in a family with artistic tradition. His parents are actors of the art delegation of Thai Nguyen Province. At the age of 11, Cao Vu attended the Department of Music at the Viet Bac College of Arts and Culture. In 2016, he earned his Intermediate Diploma with “đàn bầu” major, then he started studying for his Bachelor’s Degree at the Vietnam National Academy of Music with his major. Currently Cao Vu is a third-year student of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
